What attracted you to Carter Jonas?
Carter Jonas has an excellent reputation for quality property services, as well as an experienced infrastructure team. They seemed to offer the opportunity to grow the infrastructures team by teaming my experience with Carter Jonas’ property expertise.
Tell us more about your journey with Carter Jonas so far.
I joined in November 2017 and spent some time with the Birmingham office infrastructure team to obtain a good understanding of how the team and Carter Jonas operate. I have been involved in a number of successful tenders for new utility clients and have spent a good proportion of my time working in the mobilisation team for the Highways England property management contract. It has taken
12 months to fully mobilise the Highways England contract which has been extremely challenging, and rewarding to establish a team of 15 spread across three offices.
What skills do you need to be successful in your role?
I need to be organised, communicate well and be able to think outside of the box. In order to develop new business and mobilise a large contract, I have also had to quickly understand how Carter Jonas operates and have built great relationships across the business with IT, client accounts and contract management.

WHAT IS YOUR FAVOURITE PART OF WORKING AT CARTER JONAS?
The nature of the workload at Carter Jonas is diverse and interesting, a working day does not feel chore-like or repetitive. As a junior member of staff seeking practical experience, the firm provides excellent opportunities to learn and develop in the role; senior colleagues are also very approachable and helpful! It is exciting to be involved in nationally significant infrastructure schemes such as HS2.
I believe those who are successful in my role have good communication skills.
